I didn't know that this was traditionally sung to close the Mystic after-sing in the German hall across the street from the Seaport, held in the evenings after each day of the festival. I sang it perhaps a dozen songs in, and was informed of the custom after the fact, to my great embarrassment. We haven’t been invited back… - Richard
